History

The operation was started in 1974 by a major Garbage and Dump Truck manufacturer as a dedicated in-house supplier. It was later sold to Dana before joining the Hyco family in 1998. Today the plant employs over 130 people and produces more than 300 cylinders a day.

Facilities

The original factory was 90,000 ft2 (9,000 m2) and Hyco added a new 40,000 ft2 (4,000 m2) facility in 2000.

Product

Hyco Alabama specializes in Telescopic Cylinders of all types, sizes and quantities. It has developed additional capabilities for the manufacture of Rod Cylinders and can offer a complete cylinder program covering most pressure and size options used in the Mobile Hydraulics Industry.
